Poker and Table Games
At our Bloemfontein venue, we keep 11 active tables. They run blackjack, poker in several styles, plus roulette. Hours are set: from Sunday through Thursday, tables run 15:00 to 01:00. Fridays and Saturdays, we stay open until 02:00. During the festive season (mid-December to early January) you can stay longer - we add one extra hour to closing.
Game minimums and maximums are flexible. It depends on the day. Only guests 18 or over can join the table games. When things get busy, holders of Sun MVG loyalty cards go to the front of the queue. If you’ve reached Gold, Platinum or Diamond, the Salon Privè tables open up - there’s less waiting there.
Slot Machines on the Main Floor
Slot players have plenty to choose from: 332 machines, with stakes ranging from 2 cents up to R25 per round. All our slots connect to digital cards that automatically record your play and tally up loyalty points.
Slot working hours outlast table games: from 08:00 until 02:00 on weekdays, extended to 03:00 on weekends. During peak holiday periods, an extra hour is added, too.
The machines are mixed: classic three-reelers, modern video slots with extra features, progressive jackpots and units you can play at different bet levels. You can put in cash or use a loaded card. Slot winnings? Vouchers print out and can be swapped for cash at one of our windows - or pop them into another slot if you want to keep playing.
Salon Privè - Access for MVG Members
For players with MVG Gold, Platinum or Diamond cards, the Salon Privè space offers something different. This quiet lounge includes 49 more slots and 4 tables in total. In the non-smoking section - 22 slots, 2 game tables. If you smoke, that area has 27 slots and another 2 tables.
These exclusive areas keep the same hours as our main casino floor. Extra perks for our loyal members: drinks on the house, their own cashier counter, and hosts ready to help. Active MVG status must be shown at the entrance.
| Gaming Area | Slot Machines | Gaming Tables | Smoking |
|---|---|---|---|
| Main Floor | 332 | 11 | Designated zones |
| Salon Privè Non-Smoking | 22 | 2 | No |
| Salon Privè Smoking | 27 | 2 | Yes |
Sun MVG Loyalty Program
The MVG system keeps score as you play: every bet on slots and tables counts. Registration takes just a few minutes at the main desk, with your ID. A physical card is issued right away.
There are four levels in the loyalty scheme:
- MVG Standard - tracks your play, but basic perks
- Gold - quicker access, monthly specials
- Platinum - access to Salon Privè and improved rewards
- Diamond - all benefits, always
Points build up in the background as you play, auto-calculated by bet size and game choice. Screens around the floor show your point balance at any time.
As soon as you pass a threshold, your tier moves up. Quiet periods might lead to a lower tier over time.

Cash Handling and Transactions
All play, all winnings, all chips are counted in South African Rand. Cashier windows stay open any time we’re running games. Change cash for chips at the counter, or pop bills straight in the slots.
Our cashiers handle deposits, redemptions and chip changes all at once. Sometimes you have to queue but MVG loyalty members use a special line. Large wins and transactions require ID and financial checks for compliance reasons. When you win, bring your vouchers or table game chips back to the cashier to exchange them for cash.
Casino Promotions
There are always special events and periodic campaigns. One of our recent favourites: the Heatwave Craze, with R25,000 given away every week. Register your play on your MVG card - that’s your entry ticket.
Jackpots land regularly - between October and December 2025, R24 million was paid across 979 winners on both tables and slots at the property. Full promo calendars are shown at the entrances and on our information screens around the floor. If you’re opted in, we notify you about prize draws, tournaments, and high-value days boosted by bonus point multipliers.

Basics of Table Games
Buy your chips at cashier stations. When it’s calm, chips might be available straight from the table dealer too. Select your seat at tables with open chairs and preferred betting ranges. Minimum and maximum bets are always shown clearly.
House rules for poker are posted at the tables. Dealers oversee every hand, count pots, and settle issues if they crop up. Unsure of a poker variation? When the action’s paused, our dealers are ready to explain. Please don’t cover your cards, only place bets where shown, and keep your hands clear once bets are finished. New to casino etiquette? The team is happy to double-check you’re set.
A Note on Online Access
We often get online search traffic for “Windmill Casino poker online,” but we want to clarify: All poker games at Windmill Casino happen face-to-face. We do not run online casino or poker rooms. To take part, you need to visit Bloemfontein in person. There’s no mobile app or digital gaming.
While the MVG card site allows you to check points, status and promos through your phone or web - actual casino play is always land-based only. All gambling activity here is operated solely at our physical venue, under Sun International’s South Africa license.
